I wonder at time looking at the names of the versions of Google’s mobile operating system Android. Rather than a technical innovation to me it looks more of a new name in the menu card. If you find this as a joke than let’s have a look, it started with, Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo (short for ‘frozen yogurt’), Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice cream sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop and now on August 19th company shared their all new version ‘Marshmallow 6.0’.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow: Everything You Need to Know

The new version of Android operating system was previously speculated to be numbered as 5.2 but the recent unveil shared it to be as Marshmallow 6.0. We are sure Google has a narration to its slightest change. However this isn’t our concern for now. At the recent unveil numerous new features were shared that are housed in this version of Android. Scrutinizing the list and making it more exciting and informative for you all, I have here prepared list of tops 5 new features that probably you should look out for in Android 6.0. I won’t make you wait more for this exciting new version of Android, let get it started:

#5 GET STARTED (New Boot-up Screen)

If you remember the boot animation of our current version of Android, you can recall the four colorful spheres running and bouncing here and there on screen for a few seconds before they get into shape of Android logo. For the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Google has inculcated four colorful circles moving about and taking various shapes till they settle to make Android logo. I accept it isn’t something really special to look at but as I said, getting started.

#4 DIRECT SHARE

With its current Android version as well it is pretty easy to share files however with Android 6.0 Marshmallow will enhance your sharing experience up a scale through its new feature Direct Share. This feature will enable your mobile applications to share pictures and other content with specific contacts in just one click. So if moving ahead there are specific contacts with whom you share things, the feature will automatically recognize them and bring them in the top list of sharing suggestions.

#3 ANDROID PAY

Marshmallow 6.0 comes with this new NFC-based payment system named as Android Pay. The feature is designed to battle against Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. The feature allows you to save your credit/debit card credentials and whenever you wish to have a transaction you can authenticate the process with help of Virtual Card Number or fingerprint.

#2 FASTER TRANSFERS AND CHARGING

The Android Marshmallow 6.0 replaces its micro USB (which was standard for all its smartphones till date) and now brings USB Type C. This new addition (just like Android Pay) is brought in to compete with the Apple’s lightning adapter in which one can insert the port either way. This USB Type has two more advantages, which includes faster data transfer and charging of devices. Which I believe is far more vital than the one mentioned earlier.

#1 GOOGLE NOW IS JUST A TAP AWAY

This one feature in particular has all the capability of taking the number one position in my list (I don’t have any issues with rest of them). As of now Google Now has been made available as search app but with Marshmallow 6.0. This feature will seal your attention making your experience simply beyond comparison. With this you can now elect any section on your smartphone screen and you’ll have Google Now on Tap fetching all the relevant information for you. By relevant we mean anything and everything that is available on web.
