1. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus

Nothing’s changed and yet everything has” is what Apple’s saying about their new iPhones, indicating that though they may look the same, they're way better than what the iPhone 6 family had to offer.

Of course there's the brilliant new 12MP camera capable of shooting motion photos, a new processor and a new Force Touch feature on top of the pile of a whole lot of new marvels.

So if you’ve been holding out for an iPhone, this is the best time to break that piggy bank. And it comes in Rose Gold too.

2. Acer Predator 6

While you can game perfectly on just about any flagship phone, the devices themselves tend to look very business-like.

The recently revealed Acer Predator 6 hopes to reflect the gamer in you on your smartphone.

Powered by an insane Deca-core processor from Mediatek (yes, that's 10 cores), coupled with 4GB of RAM, a big 6-inch display, four speakers and it's design will go well alongside Alienware's laptops.

There’s a 21MP camera on the back and the phone packs in some kind of haptic feedback, much like what game controllers do.

While all this may be overkill for your occasional Angry Bird gamer, it’s perfect for hardcore gamers on the go.

3. Moto X Style

With the Moto X Play just launched, the Moto X Style should not be far behind. A beautiful looking phone with a 5.7-inch GHD display and TurboPower charging that can charge the device in 15 minutes for 10 hours of use.

The Style uses the Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB RAM and packs the same 21MP camera as used in the Play.

The front camera is a 5 megapixel wide angle lens, 1.4um pixel count camera with flash for those low-light selfies. Now it all depends on the price.

 4. Xperia Z5 Premium

The chrome and shiny Xperia Z5 Premium boasts a 5.5-inch QHD screen, that boosts up to its QHD when you need it.

Otherwise it’s 1080p to save on the battery. But you will not notice it thanks to its high density 806 ppi display.

Beating inside the chrome body is a Snapdragon 810 processor. It also has a side mounted fingerprint sensor as well as a new 23MP rear camera with ultra fast autofocus lowlight performance and 4k recording.

For selfies there's a 8MP front camera with 25mm wide angle lens. If the premium looks of Apple's smartphones don’t appeal to you, and Samsung’s curved screens feel too odd, then the Xperia Z5 Premium may just fill that void.

5. Huawei Nexus 6P

From what we know, it features an all-metal body and a rumored 5.7-inch QHD display.

It has a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and features a rear fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port.

The primary camera is a 13MP laser-assisted autofocus snapper, while the front has an 8MP camera.

Along with it’s smaller sibling the 5X, these will be the first phones to be run the new Android Marshmallow.

6. LG Nexus 5X

The smaller Nexus, being made by LG, is rumoured to be dubbed the Nexus 5X. A 5.2-inch 1080p display sits atop a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.

Packing a 13MP camera out back and a 5MP snapper out front, the 5X also has a similar circular rear fingerprint sensor as seen on the Nexus 6P.

This one, of course, runs on Android Marshmallow as well.

7. Huawei MAte S

A few days before the Apple revealed its iPhones with Force Touch, Huawei’s beautiful Mate S launched with the pressure sensitive touch feature.

Not to mention, a Rose Gold colour option too. The Mate S boasts a 5.5-inch AMOLED 1080p display and a fingerprint scanner that does a lot more than just device unlocking - like answering calls, or going to your pictures and more, depending on how long your finger is on the sensor.

An all metal body with 2.5D glass powered by a 64-bit Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 32/64/128 GB configurations.

The primary camera is a 13MP shooter with RGBW sensor, optical image stabilisation and full manual mode, while up front there's a 8MP camera with flash

8. HTC One M10

If you’re one of those disappointed by HTC’s last few versions of their excellent M series flagships, the M10 is just a few months wait away.

Set to retain the metal unibody design, which even Apple seems to have taken it’s cues from.

The M10, also dubbed Aero or A9, is rumored to have a 6 inch screen and or a version with a 5.2 inch.

With the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB of RAM or a Mediatek 6797 processor. Given that the Snapdragon 810’s of the M9 suffered from overheating issues.

The cameras will be an updated version of the M9’s 20 megapixel rear shooter and Ultrapixel front shooter with a wider aperture.

Hopefully HTC should win consumers hearts with the M10.

9. Microsoft Lumia 940/940 XL

It’s been months with no major flagship Lumia reveal. However there are details surfacing on the new Lumia 940 and it’s bigger sibling the 940XL.

To be revealed soon along with the Microsoft Smartband 2, presumably at its October event.

The Windows phone packs a 5.2-inch display at 1440p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory.

Lumia’s cameras have always been top notch, and the 940 is packing a 20MP PureView shooter out back, and a 5MP front camera.

The 940 XL has the same internal specs but comes with a bigger 5.7-inch display. This should be the good news all Windows Mobile fans have been waiting for.

10. BlackBerry Venice

Against all odds, Blackberry is coming out with a new phone. An Android phone.

Take the hardware of Blackberry and combine it with the power of Android and the Venice could be the comeback machine that the ailing company’s been waiting for.

Featuring the pull out keyboard that uses Blackberry’s legendary ergonomics giving you access to your complete screen when typing your emails or chatting.

The Venice comes with a 5.4 inch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM.

It’s rumored to have an 18MP rear camera as well as a now fast becoming standard – 5MP front selfie camera. Android plus Blackberry could equal winner.
